So, I'm not super techy, don't catch on to spam and scammers and crap like that.
But I put an ad on over in the classifieds a couple of weeks ago looking for some loader mounts for a 200. I have gotten one honest to goodness response which I am following up on. But within the last couple days, I've gotten three totally bogus ones. First one, I was stupid enough to respond to. All three PM'ed me telling me to contact so and so, and gave me a Gmail address for that person. First one, I thought was a user name that I recognized, didn't think twice about it and sent a message to the guy at that user name, and like a dumb, gave him my cell number. After not hearing back, I checked out the profile of the member who originally PM'ed me, only to see that that person joined the forum ten minutes before messaging me, and location listed as the UK‼️‼️🤬🤬🤬 Then within a day or two, two more very similar messages came into my inbox, both saying that another party had just what I needed in perfect shape, and again, a Gmail address of the person I should contact. I don't need to be told that I really screwed up responding to the first one, and giving my cell number was "over the top" stupid. Hope I didn't set myself up for some permanent, unremarkable damage. What do these A-holes gain from this?? 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Darrel |

I don't know what those AH's think, but everybody would have a better life if those kind would find themselves 7 feet under... dd or alv. Their sole intention is to somehow profit off of you for their evil soulless intentions and actions. They should be sought out and flogged in the public square. beaten to a pulp the second time and left to rot for the birds the third time. That might deter others from doing evil to others. Sorry to hear the dam scammers got your ph number now.

I guess that just to make light of a bad situation, I will say that, "if it was a hot chick trying to lure me into a dark alley to take advantage of me, I'd go willingly!" LOL, Darrel

Hey I’ve got the same thing going on, Darrel! When I posted that I was looking for a planter I started getting all the same messages like you.

they may only want your phone number to send you TEXT.. The goal is to get you to SEND MONEY to them, and they will NEVER SHIP the item..

I know kinda late but... ... BEFORE you give them YOUR number, have them send THEIR number and location ! if they don't, they ARE scammers and end the emails there.

You probably didn't FU too bad. You can always not answer numbers you don't recognize, and delete the bogus messages, if they leave them, also block numbers...
