Thanks for sharing those pictures. The fellow doing the painting doesn't seem to have much of a respirator. Looks like the masks we had to wear for the covid.

Thanks Tim NH for posting these. They were from an old email from Alan Jones, his mom - Nan Jones started OAN
Alan Jones , we owe him a DEBT of gratitude. When everything went into the dumpster he recognized the destruction of a world of agricultural heritage and went dumpster diving. He saved literally tons of info - most has been posted on line. Most were PO'd about losing the company and could care less - he recognized the value of the history. Thanks Alan.

Those are awesome. They look to be from 1973 or 1974. The 7000 series are using the old style remote couplers. The one picture is of a 200 rear end with dual speed PTO. Excellent photos from 50 plus years ago. Thanks.

The next to the last pic has a green machine on the right- it looks like some type of hydraulic test station. Yes??

The painter at CEI Equipment wore the same thing in the 90’s and he smoked to boot. The “paint booth” was awful. Turn on a fan and the room would freeze in winter. How he lived to retire is beyond me. |

Stan, yes that green machine was for testing the various pressures of the hydraulic and transmission circuits. You can see that they are checking pto pressure and remote outlets pressure. They could likely check any or all of the various pressures and flow if needed. It appears the there are a couple of rods attached to the power director clutch valve for engaging the inching spool and high-low valve by hand. The picture of the 200 rear end clearly shows a table with several power director clutch assemblies waiting to get installed.

Likewise, thanks so much for posting these photos – from someone too young to have seen A-C during its heyday. They really are technically very good, probably shot on a 5x4" large format camera and using studio flash guns to get the lighting right. I think I've seen a shot similar to the fourth image, thought not the same, with a hydraulic test station and either Power Director or Power Shift units hooked up to it. Super stuff.
