 Topic: We bought the WD, questions ensue.

We bought the WD and confirmed it is a 1950 WD. Now I am trying ti figure out where to get a manual. We found one but it is definitely not a service manual. HELP!! Also I want to confirm what goes in the following spot. The dip stick was almost bare so we need to be sure here is a picture.

20w-20w oil. That's the hydraulic fill. Fill with rams extended.

You can also use hydraulic fluid, but make sure it is the fluid you use in transmission and rear end. If you check the container, it should say the hydraulic fluid meets the specs for Allis Chalmers 821 Power Fluid.

There are several companies that have manuals. There are three different manuals for your tractor; an owners manual, a parts manual and a service manual. For the price of them, it's a good idea to own all three.
Try to find Allis Chalmers manuals, as opposed to the I&T manuals. The I&T are good, but the AC manuals are much better.
Try some of the advertisers on this forum; Sandy Lake, DJ's. and Tony's tractors are a few that come to mind. There are several others, too

I use John Deere hytrans oil in my WD45 in that location. Any good hydraulic fluid should work there. Start with getting an operator's manual. That will tell you everything you need to know about how to operate and maintain the tractor. It's always nice to support our site sponsors. Here's an ebay link so you can see what a manual looks like. Be careful so you don't buy the CD-ROM computer version (unless you want that...) Congrats on your first tractor! If you haven't already you might want to check the gear oil level in the trans and differential case.
These are separate from the Hydraulics where your dipstick is located.
They are the two square head plugs one is to the right of the HYD dipstick ,the other is the next one back.
These should be full to the opening when you take the plug out.
Also if the tractor has sat outside take notice what the color is if it looks milky you should drain and re-fill.
There are different opinions on what to use I used 80w-90 gear oil in mine.
I also used this in the final drive's.

Congratulations on the WD added tot he family! BTW that hydraulic dip stick will only have a little bit on the tip as marked when full.
Nice tractor you have there. I have 3 running WD's:) Lots of folks to help on here too.
