Does anyone know if there was ever a belly mounted blade for a B or C? I've got my Dad's 3020 for snow removal now and would like to get the green paint off the farm if possible. If anyone has built one or has ideas on how to build one with a manual lift similar to the sickle mower I would be interested to see how it was done. Thanks in advance. |

I have been thinking of making one for my G. I can get the blade and blade edge from my local Woods dealer. Thinking of mounting it on the cultivator frame.

I have built a couple. use the plow bracket for hinge points. the left arm has a swivel point at the blade. it works very nice for shapeing a road. since the blade is btween the axles instead of hanging out back its very easy to smooth an area.

We mounted a blade on our old B s cultivator .Used the stock feet and bolted a section of used motorgrader cutting edge. It worked fair for smoothing the driveway after we added some weight to it. You can loosen one side and slide it back for some angle to cast material . Being mounted under the tractor you can see the blade well .

+1 on using the cultivator frame.
I also saw a nice job at the Orange Spectacular a few years ago, but I can't locate the photo right now.

I have some literature from the Meyers plow company showing plows on the B & C and also the G mounted to the master lift assembly, I would sure like to find one of those blades.

If you want to get crazy you could look for a Drott grader attatchment for it which makes it look like a Speed Patrol. There is one here locally mounted on a WD but most I have seen were on B's. I think Drott is the correct name?
