Don't know how but I lost one this morning harrowing/discing with the D 15. Had a time hooking the lift arm back up . May just use a 7/16 bolt and nut . Just wondering what you fellas use ? Thanks !!

Bolt with double nut when in the woods pulling trees for firewood. Nothing worse than loosing a pin and the log makes it difficult to remove the 3 pt hitch cross drawbar.

for something you dont take off too often, a bolt with a sealastic nut ( nylon insert) works good.... I carry a couple extra pins on the tractors.

We found self locking 7/16 lynch pins. We use them in large hitch pins. You have to squeeze the sides together to get it to release. I think the parts guy at a jd dealer did some looking and found them dad.

I'm at the computer now.
Try this link. We have lost lots cotter keys in hitch pins in no till planters, stalk choppers, grain carts and brushhogs. So we went to the lynch pin but in stalks and heavy vegetation the lynch pin would be gone to. These locking lynch pins are pretty reliable. And would work fine on lift arms when in a high trash situation. Granted, they are not cheap but I like the security they provide. Leon B MO |
