Yesterday and today we were direct chopping oats for silage. I have a six foot mower bar (or direct cut head) for my John Deere 12 harvester. The oats had a good bit of rust on them and by the end of the day my Deere chopper looked over half Allis Chalmers. If only I could find a mower bar head for my Allis 780 I could use that. Might try and get some pics tomorrow when we finish up. A thunderstorm yesterday washed a good bit of the rust off the grain. Yesterday my wife said I had an orange cloud following me. Tom
