What owners manuals were produced for the AC HD3 ? I'm presuming there would have been an operators / maintainance manual and was there a workshop manual ?

Operators, service,  and parts catalog for the dozer and individual ones for the attachments.  I think the gas and diesel had separate operators manuals...

My HD4 manual had parts, service, and operators books and gas and diesel were both covered in the AC book for the 2200 engine. Attachments each had there own manual.

The shop manual for the 60's H3/HD3 was one book. A section for the gas motor, a section for the diesel motor and a section for the rest of the tractor. There was a parts manual and an operating manual also. All the add ons, dozer blade, bucket, winches had there own seperate manual.
