I been watchin some youtube videos on tractors etc and run across some Dudes, maybe in Germany or somewhere over the pond,,, It looks like they are a royal pain in the toolie-wak cause they didn't have starters on em and gots a big old flywheel they spin by hand,,,,,whew,,,,, They also place a oil burner under the front of the engine to build pressure,,?? and when whey do get em runnin,,,,sounds just like ole Shameless' favorite,,, the 730 JD

Some of them use a shotgun shell, I assume a blank, to start the engine. Seems like anything to keep from using an electrical system...

Field Marshall used the shotgun blank. It was English so you can't blame them for avoiding electrics with Lucas as their only real choice.

I watch a couple old guys in England start on at a show they musta knew what they were doing. They heated it up with an old brass pump up blow torch. Pulled the steering wheel off and stuck the shaft into it and used that to turn it over they backed it up against compression pulled the wheel over and it started right up. It sat there and chunked and shook like it was go a jump off the ground.
