    Posted: 04 Dec 2017 at 9:55pm
Hi,

I have a 185 with a 500 series loader.  Can someone tell me what the part number is for the rebuild/seal kit for the tilt cylinders on this series of loader?

Thanks in advance

Thanks, I saw that posting but I was unsure from the description if the lower cylinder was the same as the tilt cylinder.  Thanks again for the clarification.

I just go to Azdell Hydraulics in Mexico, MO and buy the Orings and wiper seal. Don’t need numbers just take old ones in and they will match them up. The seals and Orings are the same in both cylinders. This is much cheaper than buying kits

******I just talked to them today about those seal kits and they are $9.25 jobber and $12.xx resale.  My loader takes the same kits for either cylinder. I usually have the individual items around but that is a fair price..Dale

Are they the same for a 417 loader or are the cylinders different size?

The Kits should all be the same.  The tilt cylinders are the same except for the rods.  The 500 series rods are about 9.5 inches longer.  (and will have a tendency to bend easier) The ram barrels are the same.  The 400 lift cylinders are about 40 inches and the 500 about 46 inches.  (As I recall) Take the same kits as the tilt. I ordered some of the Baum kits today to see what they look like....Dale

Thanks guys,  I ordered a kit from Baum also, just need to be able to take the cylinder apart.  Any suggestions for a gland/pin wrench?
