Take the old parts to any bearing distributor, or NAPA. All bearings and seals in a C are standard off the shelf parts.

There are two seals in the front pedestal. One in the bottom (neoprene) below the bearing and one at the top--cork. I've replaced two recently. The ONLY place I could find those seals is from DJs tractors. The upper is 70210289 and the lower is 70210293. I tried to cross reference it to something from NAPA, but never found it. DJs is great to deal with.

Speaking of seals. Where can I find the hydraulic packing (chevron plunger)for the hydraulic ram. I know this may not be the best place to post it but was the closest I could find. I am redoing a 1948 "C" model. Tried Steiner and Yesterday Tractors with no luck.

I got mine from Schmidt & Sons (AGCO) in Mt Hope, Ks. Ph 800.281.2164
Part # 70222677 $18.85 That's for the rear cylinder. Don't know what they charge to ship - they're within driving distance for me. Hervey |
