Have you ever seen anything as cute as a 8 wk old puppy, Eng. Blk lab, Rain's legacy lives thru Thunder. He is very smart, mellow boy, now if I can grow more eye's to keep a constant eye on him!, get's into evrything, caught a mouse this morning.

Chris,
Looks to me as if Thunder is asking to be taken out on a waterfowl hunt. Will you be training him for any type of hunting? Thanks.

Bryan, I use to do some duck/goose hunting, friend I went with passed away years ago, never went again. Thunder will get alot of water exercise, if he is like Rain, I will have a hard time forcing him back in the truck!!

Pyreenes, friend raised them and had them in with his sheep and goats, great guard dogs for flock animals as they will take on anything that is a threat to flock.
The Great Pyrenees's goal in life is to protect sheep, goats, livestock, people, children, grass, flowers, the moon, the lawn furniture, bird feeders, and any real or imaginary predators that may intrude on your personal space. Well there are things beside animals to hunt lol. The meanest thing my labs ever tacked was a tennis ball thrown from my chuck it. :-)
BTW all my dogs have a one cylable nick name that they recognize - but I cannot think of one for thunder. Surely not pfart lol.

Dave, How does the nick name come into play? I use 2 words before his name. Does the one sylable help getting there attention easier?

Hope you took my reply in jest. However that nickname would fit my black lab Sammie. I guess it is just a rut I am in from doing it all my life.
Like the dog I picked up off the road is named Lucy, but she goes by Lou most of the time.

Chris -- Glad you found a new puppy. They can't take away the memory of the old one -- but they sure fill the void with fun. Nothing better that being licked in the face by a new puppy. Good looking pup -- enjoy.

I dont have any good pictures of my two yet, but they are not near as clean as the picture posted. As far as nick names, I have one friend who always uses full names on my dogs. There names are Cliff and Norm but my friend insists on calling them Clifford and Norman.
