Posted below about replacing a Lucas starter on a 7020 with a Denso gear reduction starter. I found an genuine Denso starter that is listed as fitting a 6070, 6080 and 8010(on Denso's own website) for 381 from an actual Denso dealer, and 441 from another dealer that I trust(who says it's a genuine Denso) so I think that's the direction I'm going to go. Are the starters on the 6070, 6080, 7020 and 8010 factually identical? Will it bolt up to the tractor no problem? (other than maybe needing cable modifications)

I kinda figured that based on displacement. Thank you for confirming. So the bolt pattern is the same then?

We have used them for years with great luck. On some they like a socket head screw for one bolt.

On the 190 xtd the length of one bolt had to be 'maanaged' because the hole was blind It was the top one on the outside - easy to see and easy to fix by adding washers under the head of the bolt. Really makes start nice
