D 19 final drives will increase the speed by about 8%. It will take some doing to make them fit in a 200 I would guess. D 19 low side power director gears will reduce low side (only low side) by about 10 percent if I remember right.
Compare a 190 speed chart(same ratios as a 200)to a d 19 speed chart with the same sized tires. You will have to convert to make the rated engine speeds equal. The other options are buying a gearbox to go ahead of the transmission. P.D. low side hollow shaft and clutch will be removed. You could have custom transmission gears made. Get out your wallet and wait a while. Tire size changes will change speed also. There is also the option of getting enough poop under the hood to run the 7th gear you currently have. No quick fix no matter what you chose. |
