Broke the belt on my 6080.

If it has the saddle on the crankshaft, you have to remove the two bolts and spacers on either side of the saddle. It's pretty straightforward after that.

all fun aside, be sure to buy TWO belts.

Install one,store other in a safe KNOWN place.

I guess you have room to weave belt over fan blade?

Like was said in previous post, if you have the bearing support mechanism on the end of the crank just remove the two top bolts and spacers, thread the belt over the fan blade and under the crank pulley, replace the bolts/spacers, install belt on the alternator, tighten up and good to go. Factory belt was too long for my 6080, so I bought one an inch shorter and was able to get the belt tight enough so it didn't slip on the alternator.

I have a 6080 w/ cab and AC. I have put 4 belts on in 2 years. 2 of the belts did not make it 10 hours before flipping. All AGCO belts.
Any thoughts as to issues to check? Alternator shop said to put a little thicker belt on, thought that the "slipping" over the years may have wore down the V in the pullys. NAPA and AutoZone both have a belt that is next size wider. Will try one of those next time.
