How do I tell an Oxnard snap coupler blade from an Allis blade? Obviously Oxnard made them for AC. Is any one blade better or heavier than the other? |

Ross,
The AC Oxnard blade had numerous adjustments on it. You can move the blade from side to side, adjust the horizontal plane of the blade and also adjust the angle of the blade. Here is a picture of a 3 point AC Oxnard blade.

Yes Pat, that is what they consider an Oxnard blade. They were made by the Oxnard in California but I don't remember if that was before or after AC bought them out.
The adjustments on my blade were completely froze up and I ended taking everything apart and loosening everthing up with the help of the smoke wrench.
