#%&@@!!!! Just got word this morning that all the stuff John bought in the brambles, including the 80S mower is GONE! I assume the scrap man took it or was stolen. The buyers had a week to get the items or so I was told. That stuff should still be sitting there. DAMN this pisses me off! Think I am going to call Crawford auctioneers unless someone knows something I dont....

Try this. Have your tractor delivered, get tied up on the job and not make it back in time for the delivery. When your wife calls and tells you that Jim Danforth is there with a tractor and wants a check and then ask what to do. Tell her to write the man a check! Happened, she says she loves me everyday, baked me some cookies last night and I still get to sleep in the bed. LOL

Maybe because both checkbooks are needed to make ends meet...so any leftover $$ spent on "extras" of high dollar amounts are mutually agreed upon. Thats how it works
in my house.

I am the one who bought the chain saw for $170.00 I now have Allis Chain saws.
I am also the one who bought the lot in the brush, I only to the brackets and
the shovels off the cultivators and left the rest. As they told me that I had to
provide my means of loading, I understand that they later changed that, however
that was to late for me.

I went to the site on Thursday. It looked like a lot of rough eqpt and parts to me. I think they were fortunate to obtain any auctioneer. They were working on Thursday on removing stuff from the shed, and from the brush. I don't see how the auctioneer made any money on this sale. Glenn, if I were younger, i would have liked the 40 combine. Seems to me that items sold a good prices for the condition of the equipment.

Ok so your the fella...Thanks! What are your immediate plans on the WD45D?
On the 80 mower; I was told it and whatever else was in the brambles was sold off as a lot.

Glenn, Im hoping I can take it with me when I go.
Tom, I beleive chain saw went for 185.00(very nice collector item)
Must be the loader showed up after I left.
Yes, I beleive it was a short notice sale. Kinda hard time of the year to have a sale like that. Takes a lot of work and planning. Auctioneer seemed like a nice guy , just not a tractor guy. You could tell he was surprised on the items that brought good money. He had no idea of their worth. For ex. the "B" radiator shutters were "some kinda metal plate" "anybody got a dollar?" Sad to say, they would have done a lot better if they had brought in an auction co that knew what the stuff was.
They must have gone to the low bidder, or else the first guy in the phone book.
If your family has to do your auction after you are gone, at least do them a favor and point them in the right direction before you go.

I knew I should have gone to that sale...but, like you Glenn, I'd have to find a place to put it, but even more so, a field to use it in...
