This wide front that I got had been damaged at one time.   I knew that when I bought it, as the one spindle support was cracked and had to be rewelded together which the guy I bought it from did.   Whatever damage was done, must have been something major as not only was the piece that we were talking about last night was broken, probably from the impact, but also the spindle support as well.   Tonite, as I was getting everything together, I noticed some play in the spindle that was repaired.   What I noticed was that when the spindle arm was moving back and forth, the spindle wasn't moving as much.   As I took it apart, I found the keyway slot is loose on the spindle itself, and the key is bent some.   Is that key supposed to be a regular halfround key, or is it supposed to be thicker on the back of the rounded part and straight for the slot for the spindle arm?   Also, I looked on the AGCO parts book site, and in the picture, there are spindle support bushings.   Do these just go on the bottom or does one go on the top as well?   I don't see on in the top of mine, so I was wondering if it was taken out when repaired and never put back in because the spindle doesn't line up properly from top to bottom from the repair.   I guess I might have to find a whole other spindle support and spindle assembly but I dont' know if someone is willing to sell just those parts.   I don't even want to know if new ones are available from AGCO and if so how much.

I believe Stiener sells those spindles, I have not had any apart yet but I would think that there would be a bushing on the top and bottom?
