30 miles south of Buffalo , East Concord NY. I am the President of the Simply allis club .We are helping the Steam assoc. in Canandaguia with the GOTO 2013.

Mike, there are a bunch of AC people in WNY, Most of them aren't on the web though. A friend of mine in S. Wales has over 25 AC's

Oh how I miss the Empire State. Grew up on a dairy farm right on the Schoharie County/Montgomery County line. I miss the seasons and the farm life there. After Cornell, my wife and I lived/worked in the Southern Tier(Tioga County) for 4 years. She was born/raised on Long Island until high school. Now, we reside in KY since 2000 and still so hard to get in mood for Christmas when 60 degrees and raining instead of snow.

Wow! Lots of NY'ers - way more than I thought. I never knew Allis was born in Cazenovia, which is only about 45 min north of us. When I run to to a salvage yard west of us, that has some AC donors, I go through Richford, where Rockefellar was born. Being one of the older states, it is pretty neat to see so many of the early industries having links here, like Remington up in Ilion, and so many others.
Upstate NY may be economically depressed, but it sure is historically rich - and very beautiful to boot.

Live in Ohio now, but I'm originally from the Lockport area, (about 30 miles NNE of Buffalo). My grandpa who farmed with A-C lived in Newstead about 15 miles or so directly east of Buffalo. One of his tractors now belongs to cousins of mine down in Scio in Allegany County.
