We have an h3 with a loader on it.  We acquired a backhoe for it.  Mounting was perfect fit.  The backhoe was on something else previously.  There are 2 smaller hose which I assume get hooked to the extra lever on the loader controls.  Right?  Then there is a larger hose which I assume is the return line.  Would that be hooked into the return at the controls also.  Anny thoughts on this would be helpful.  Thank!

I have had 2 back hoes ive worked on. Both only had two hoses hooked up to the control block. One for supply and the other for return. The control block only directs oil to a certain point and drains back through the larger hose. Larger hose would be the return. Norm

Maybe a picture of the back hoe controls and where the 3 hoses come from would help!

On AC615 demountable hoe on my HD4 there were 2 hoses - supply - return , a diverter valve was used to take the HD4 loader control out of circuit as the hoe had it's own valve body and pressure relief .
Look at where the 2 hoses go to - it sounds like someone tapped supply off a valve body of tractor and has a return line separate .
To get full pump flow to hoe - you need to tap in before tractor valves / relief valve

I have a IH backhoe that I obtained out of the woods,Coke was very helpful in making it work for me, on that one there was three hose's two bigger ones and one small one. What the deal was there is the two bigger hoses were supply/return for all functions except the swing, the one small hose was supply for the swing using less volume and the return oil from swing valve went to the in side of the valve body. On my redneck retro fit I used a proportioning block (adjustable) and the hoe now works real nice.   May not apply to you but just follow where the hoses go and you mite figure it out.
