Guys: If the head is shot on an HD-344 can you bolt up the 6000 head and make it work with some minor plumbing changes?  I am thinking since the 6000 head has the pintles in the top that the fuel lines would need to be rerouted.

My HD-344 head has a lot of erosion in the combustion chamber indicated consumption of water at some point.  Not sure it is worth it to pursue welding and replaning the old 344 head.

Comments appreciated...Thank-you Orangeman

FWIW

The later pistons have bowl type combustion chambers (2 types), and I think there are 2 types of injector nozzles for these.  Check, e.g., the Endurance catalogue.  Injector pipes are different, and things like water manifolds might also be, going on the differences between ADS 516 and 10000 engines.

The connecting rods are different also. The wrist pin on the dished pistons is larger. My 6000 motor has deep dished pistons. I was told the dish design was to change the exhaust smoke. Does any one know if the deep or shallow dish had the cleaner exhaust?
