anyone here that can help with engine size 149 or 160. serial # 10369 engine # 3 2160 R serial is # stamped on the frame? that the blade is fastened to.

oil bath with dry on air inlet no tag on carb will have to look i know it is basically the same as an 8 N ford. the dry filter is just a small one really doesnt look factory

That serial number seams to be to high, but that seams to the rage lately.
All H3's had the 160 from what I read, however, according to the parts manual, there is a serial number break at 6959. Before 6959 are 149 cu in and 6959 and after 160. So, not too sure. I also read that H3's, both with the 149 and 160, are underpowered. Also, the engine kits are three times as much money for the 160 than the 149. Again, the range for H3 serial numbers is up to like 9700, so your number is too high. cb1

ok i got the serial number on the frame? that the blade is fastened to in front of the radiator is this the correct place? do i have a fake number? i am just curious about this thing. it has enough power for what i use it for. in over 50 hrs use it has used no oil. i do thank all for the answers they gave i havent been able to find out much about these things. 3rd owner original owner is deceased.

The serial number will be on the bellhousing. Where the motor bolts to the transmission. I will post a picture of mine tomorrow if I get time. I thought I had a picture, but cant find it right now.

found serial number on bell housing "3033" guess it is a 149 engine thanks again for all the replies took a lot of scraping to get the layers of paint out of the way
