He got this out of the motor rebuild shop today. Put the plastic back on it. It runs like a new unit. Full time 4x4. His 250 -- 2x4 was more nimble and quicker. He's already had it hooked to a big old dead tree and drug it up so we can start filling the wood shed. He's happy.

Shameless. It was more than that.   New parts, head, valves, timing chain, carb rebuild, tore motor completely down to check clutch, bottom gears, gaskets, I know he took $1500.00 cash with him. We would have done it ourselves but you gotta have some special tools to take the clutch apart. He bought it with a broken valve. Timing chain was worn out and piston hit the valve. They took the motor apart to check the timing gears/bearings on the bottom end. You gotta take the clutch apart to get to the bottom gears/bearings. I hear him running around here now.

I resurrected a late 90's Kaw Prairie 400 4x4 out of a junkyard, the vineyard people had beat it to a fair the well, I mean bad. Engine was good the main thing wrong other than being beat to death was the clutch and splined hubs on the back axle. I have had Honda, Yamaha and Polaris and I like the poor old beat up Kawasaki much much better, it is not racer but a real tractor. Just so ya know.

Right on about the tractor. While we were at the farmers MKT today he used it to drag a big tree out of a gate way that only he uses. I've been gonna cut it up for firewood the past 2 years. Will be more than 1 pickup load of firewood in it.
