Drove an old camper special like that with a camper on it to Galveston and back in 1979-80?. Not a hiccup out of it once.

The Rv part is a little more cubes. Now I need better brakes and a little more carb work. Looking for one of those plastic bulls to haul around. What I found are more expensive than real ones. I just bought a Angus cheaper than the plastic ones.

A little bigger, 440 N 727 got the wheels at a pawn shop in SC. Painted with urethane. A good friend did the swap for me and did a great job. Probably gonna leave it like that and drive it till someone wants it more than I do. Thanks for all the comments.

Hubert, Don't think there's enough seasoning in east TN to make that sausage good. I'd be way to greasy!

I have a thermoquad and manifold from a 440 that I’d sell if your interested.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.

Got a Edelbrock 1405 Performer for my 440. It's only 600 cfm, but will be more than plenty for my 23' MB400. Just gotta find where I put that elusive Round-Toit that goes with it. Easier to work on, tune, anti-boil, better mileage if I keep my foot out of it, and shiny to boot.

If the gas is running back, how about putting a check valve on/in the gas line?

I know it's not original but I'd try an inline low pressure12v pump.

The mechanical fuel pump, if functioning correctly, will perform as a check valve.
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
