Keep me posted on your effort. I've been in contact with several AGCO officials. They listen but that's about it so far. No action other than to say they'll keep making orange tractors through 12-31-2010. Going orange is going great.

went to our old dealer today to get a few things, he has see all the ups and downs of A-C and AGCO since 1959, he sees how they are looking at this world wide, but is dumb-founded on the fact that if they truely needed to let a line go, why not the Challenger, the orange tractors have been their number one seller in North America he just can't believe it, he also made the comment that watch the parts for the old orange go sky high, he has quite an inventory to NOS true A-C parts as well as AGCO, and over the last year or so he has got parts for customers through aftermarket or wholesale companies because the Heritage Line is getting ridiculous on some of the prices. Not to mention he also said that their parts catalog for the Heritage parts isn't all its made out to be, he told us that it seems like every other day something new is not available or has been discontinued. This move I think will not be for the better in the long run.

bowsers,
That's what I've been saying the next thing AGCO will "force" on people. You should start a new topic with AGCO parts likely to go up on it so people see it. Byron |

In all honesty, does JD or CaseIH do better then Agco at servicing old brands? I don't have (real) old iron so I don't know myself.
Dad complained about a high price for a new emblem for an MF 135. I thought it was pretty good to be able to buy new parts for a machine that is 40 years old.

Well I helped do some work on a 3020 and the most ridiculous priced item on it to me was the piece of foam that goes behind the console for the fire wall and all it was, was a piece of foam and it cost a RIDICULOUS $75 so I don't think Deere parts for their old equipment is priced any more reasonable than what any of the others are.
