Looking at the rear sprockets and the weld on the ring you said you made . So if I get this right you took just the sprocket segments and welded to your own ring and then welded the ring to your AC sprocket spokes ?
I did the Cat D5 ring onto D6-9U sprocket and it took me quite a few tries to get it to stop cracking weld as the ring cooled while welding . Pre-heating both / then welding and hearing the ping noise as a weld cracked somewhere on the ring .

Is this just a labor of love? Your doing a nice job on the restoration but the cost WOW.
We have a HD11B that we are doing that to, with some modern day conviences added to it, but we didnt go down as far as you have, well we didnt have to mechanically it was in good shape, but needed an engine and some work on the track tightner. The paint you used is that an old Caterpillar color I thought the AC were brighter, we matched the paint on out 745 loader to a PPG color and its brighter, but now I kind of like the color of yours. I see you added a muffler looks likeone off of a 4890 Case which is what we used on the 745 sounds great with it on.

What  i did was make a ring drilled and machined it to suit the cat segments cut the old sprocket ring off then welded the drilled ring to the 16 sprocket hub if you look at the dozer picture you can see it fitted and i posted picture of the sprocket hub
