I need to find a good head for my dads series 2 D-17 diesel.  Any one know were I may find one?

I know wortington Ag parts has them and they are pressure tested, they were $800 dollars last time I checked, luckily the one on ours was not cracked.

Yeah, just checked worthington website they have them listed at $1000 now.  They are surfaced and pressure checked, and also have new seats and guides.  There are 2 different heads, on has the water pump mounted on it, while the other style has it mounted on the block.  Ours is a 1958 and it was mounted on the head, so I am not sure when they switched.

They changed the water pump mounting just before the series IIIs.   All D19s had the water pump on the block. HTH
