Hi Guys,
I have an Allis Chalmers 7020 with a 5 speed gearbox , a Hi-Lo range selector and the two power director buttons sticking up from the floor. Everything works OK except the clutch doesnt disengage completely when the pedal is pushed to the floor. That is if the trans is in neutral and I push the clutch pedal down all the way it grinds when I try to push it into gear. It will go into gear with a firm shove. When I stop the machine and push the clutch in and try to get it back into nuetral the gear lever is very stiff and I have to let the pedal up then hold pressure on the gear stick as I push the predal down to get it out of gear. I believe it has a multi disc wet clutch and I presume that hydraulic pressure releases the clutch pack. Can I have some advice on how to test and rectify this issue. Thankyou |
