Well we finally got one. Late model (deutz-allis stickers) with fwa cab and loader. Everything seems to work and it looks pretty good for a 40 year old tractor with 8000 hours on it. But I do have a question about the hydraulics. It has a homebuilt grapple on the loader controlled by what looks like a third factory hydraulic lever. Located on the right side of the seat and operated by pulling up or pushing down on it. Only 2 sets of couplers at the rear of the tractor, this is plumbed in somewhere under the cab. Is that factory or a dealer installed option or is it a custom deal?

Even though it is a late model - I would check the fore/aft play on the crankshaft. The late 4.33 motors had a double wide thrust - BUT, at high hours I would still check it. The front bearing set up can still be added. Congrats and just my 2 cents worth.

I’m guessing a bearing support from a donor tractor? NLA from AGCO the last time I checked, we wanted to add one to our 6060.

Thanks for that. I looked it up on tractor data and it said 2 remotes. I have never seen one with a third remote before so I would guess it isn't very common?

I did a quick redneck check for play using a manure tine as a pry bar before buying it. Couldn't feel any play and no leaks from the front seal so figured it should be okay. Anyone know the allowed amount of movement? We had one of these that we sold to an uncle probably 35 years ago that had 6500 hours or so on it at that time. He put another I think 10 or 15k hours on it before he scrambled the transmission and junked it. Other than a head gasket it had never been touched. So hopefully that is an indication of how long they can go without much work.
