I don't know the answer to your question but I'm going to comment that is a nice planter. Does it drive off the press wheels with a chain?

2 and 4 row planters are used by deer hunters to plant deer plots... Some of them bring pretty good money if they work good... Have seen some take 8 or 12 row planters and cut them in half to make plot planters.

Hitch tool bar and boxes look possible like early AC - that bottom hopper drive is nothing I can recall - All AC's dropped from rear. Sprocket is not AC . Rest is not AC unless proved wrong.

I think the frame/hitch is could be from an AC coil shank cultivator. No idea on the row units as they don't look AC to me other than the boxes.
