I have a D14 that was in the shop for a long time to rebuild transmission that had been run too long with loose pinion shaft bearings.   While it was down I found the head was cracked and valves had been burned up pretty bad.

Along the way I found a couple of bad rocker levers.  Somehow, they had siezed threads and beat up threads.  According to manual I needed right hand levers so I ordered a couple only to find that the description in the manual is exact opposite the RH versus LH that the levers are marked and designated.  Waiting for LH levers now.  There is actually a small L and R on each lever that I saw when the replacement levers arrived.  Lesson learned.

Generally I find the D14 section of my old Allis shop manual is hit and miss.  The older manuals for WC and B were very detailed.  Maybe by that time there were other sources of information for specific engine and system details that went beyond the tractor model manuals.  I guess my manual could have been published early also and not so complete for the D14.
