Having problems with my door latch, had to loosen the spring about 4 full rotations on the nut to get it to open all the way. Not sure what caused the sudden change, but I have had it go the other way too. I keep a 1/2" in the cab all the time, so not a major inconvenience. I think I remember reading that someone offered a conversion kit for these that used a gas spring, but I haven't been able to find it. Does anyone know if it is still available, or maybe it didn't work as well as hoped? Thank you in advance.

Lube that upper latch. I've seen a lot of cracked door frames and then the upper window will come out, because of a dry upper latch.
