I just purchased a HD6g Track Loader but made a big mistake on not insisting they let me test drive. The owner operated it and made it look like it worked ok. To be honest I didn't pay attention good enough because I was trying to catch his Weiner dog to prevent it from getting run over. Engine and hydraulics work great. They said it needed some brake work. In my research it looks like adjusting the brakes or replacement is relatively simple. The brake pedals both go to the floor. I figured I would fix it, so I bought it. When I had it delivered I found the right side has no drive. When I pull the left steer clutch and push the brake it makes a noise from the right side but doesn't move. When applying the right brake in reverse it turns sharp left. Question is what is broken in the right side and how difficult is the repair? I do like it because it has a bucket, HD forks and a winch.

either you have broken gears in final drive, the sprocket shaft is broken, or the steering clutch is stuck open/teeth sheared.  failed bearings could lead to broken teeth.  be advised sprocket shafts are different splines between early and late machines.  the seals basically cant be replaced so take care when removing installing etc.  doable by the shade tree mechanic with basic tools, and lifting capability.  the loaders are more difficult to work on than the dozers though.  do some more investigating before you tear into it and get a service and or part manual.  Also General Gear is a good salvage yard located in ID can likely supply parts.

You need to check by the inspection plate under the seat right side if every think is turning when  you angaged the left side stering cluch and if he turning it is the final drive probleme ot broken top pinion

At this point anything is possible. Pulling the brake/steering clutch cover as mentioned above is the best place to see if the trouble is upstream or downstream.

Final drives and clutches are same as HD 5 machines . Same rear casting and internals 
Removing the covers over clutches should give some idea where to start looking . 
Same as removing the cast cover below machine to inspect final drive bull gear , and any extra wear that shows up in sump pan . 
 Rear uses 3 gears as power transmitting to axle shaft indexed onto final bull gear .

I will pull the covers as soon as I get a chance. Is the bull gear you are referring to the same as the bevel gear in the parts book? And are there 3 total gears or 3 on one side?

Sounds like a broken axle. Pretty common occurance. You  should be able to run it agaist a ditch bank or loading dock and determine if both tracks will pull. Pulling left lever should deliver power to right track. If it  does not pull, axle is probably sheared.

first reduction is from transmission output to bevel gear , ring and pinion shaft , next from ring gear is to clutch hub - from clutch hub  to shaft containing a small straight tooth gear , this drives a intermediate gear , this drive the bull gear which the axle is attached to . Axle is spline fixed to drive sprocket . 
Each section has bearings which support and keep clearances . Axle shaft has inboard bearing , outboard and a bearing housing on track frame that is a link belt special bearing .
 Other gears have timkin cone and cup bearings , clutch and brake drum assembly are bolted to flanges on each side of those parts. flanges are held to shafts with center bolt and have splined attachments .
 If you lift that side of machine and block up so track is free , you could rotate the track using a come along to observe if movement in clutch compartment is seen.
 Could be clutch discs , broken bolts on flanges , gears , or ? 
Until one pulls the cover off the clutch housing and inspects that area - to start with - it's all just guessing . The axle shaft is a heavy unit and breaking it seems unlikely . Just like it could be stripped sprocket splines - anything is possible .

I'll post up some photos later today.

Are you sure that s/n is for the tractor and not the engine? IIRC the engines started with a 6, and serial number in the late 50's.

I found another plate that says Tractor Serial No. HD6G-11126 So you are correct on the engine #.
