Seems that idea of another year older struck today - something many do not obtain a believe and as I look back these 79 years have brought many things into my life , from loss of family to sharing time for a while with a wife. to 2 sons , to grandkids .
Over that time heartaches, difficulties, setbacks and accomplishments all are part of living all of us go through . Some just get more sunrises and sunsets to view than others and how many only one knows the days we all have marked in that book of LIFE .
A friend once said to me "Have A Blue Sky Day"  even if the clouds hide the sun or the rain brings a a damp or dark feeling - FOR WITHIN is where that Blue Sky Day resides - in feelings , memories or in just living this day and being thankful we can share it with another .
The only other thing we have that one is given that can't be taken is the name our father gave to us and it is our job to protect it and to pass it on to another and hope they cherish it and protect it as we may have in the years we held it to who we are .
Faith isn't a jump in the dark. It is a walk in the light. Faith is not guessing; it is knowing something.
"Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful."

Three cheers for all the years...
Life has ups and downs for sure, but we can maintain the equalibrium with knowing that there is something more than what we live with...you have said it well.
Holding a grudge is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die

Well said, Coke. I try to thank God for each new day. The light in our lives comes from the Son, not the sun. The best question we can ask each morning is "who can I be a blessing to this day?" And a good name is worth far more than wealth. Thank you for sharing these wise words and being a blessing to me today.
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.
