heads up if your in east central MN or northwestern WI do not try to do business with larson implement in camebridge/harris mn. I was mowing hay and had the 7020 steering cylinder spring a leak called around and they had one 45 mins away so I put it on kept mowing 4 hrs later the $200 one they sold me was leaking worse then the original... I bought a pretty nice massy 88 5x16 plow for cheap with a bent tail wheel bracket that someone's rewelded crookedly so I figure I will just get a used set and be good to go so they take me out to there boneyard and there is the brackets held on by one bolt each we get back and the guy had to ask his boss for a price so he comes back a few minutes later and says $250. I say for the ones we just saw covered in moss without a spech of paint on them? and he said yep boss said $250. I just shook my head and walked away its two little brackets on a obsolete plow there's a mint 88 4 bottom in MO for $350 on tractor house! I'm not paying $250 for maybe 12-15 lbs of iron on a plow I gave $40 for and thought looked too nice to scrap, and yes I asked/looked around all the other local places and they didn't have them and one guy said $40 each on the two if he has them the other said $100 for the set. I can only imagine what a whole tailwheel would cost? probably north of 1k needless to say I am not coming back

Had a similar experience at my local dealer dealing on a rear axle for my L2. They shot me a price of $900 so I said that ain't bad, does it come with the power steering cylinder and hubs, I asked. No he said, it's $900 for one used spindle. Went to Ag Land and bought a complete axle with cylinder, spindles, hubs, wheels and better tires than mine (mine weren't bad at all) for..... you guessed it $900. I changed dealers over that one and they eventually sold their old junk combines for scrap price. Now at least they have excellent parts men there so that fact may drag me back and it's 70 miles to Ag Land.... now Ziegler.
Oh and I sold my old tires and wheels for $300. Edited by Lonn - 08 Sep 2020 at 7:27pm |

I found Larson's 25 years ago. They have a lot of stuff and is fun to walk through and look. They will ask full retail plus firm price on something you need and will not be hurt if you turn and leave. Seems there is another fellow standing behind you waiting to be served.
