need to id a engine so that i can order a waterpump  for a local fab shop i do bisness with it is a acp150 ds 2ps          control # f09603-80c-1421          sn 129252                      reg. no. 81e799                          nsn 3330-10-100-4162           engine sn. 363313        lbs. 10,000      date shipped 6 -30-81     could not find tag on engine but if i have to where do i look    thanks hud

Most likely stamped into block on a casting ear around the bell housing area. casting numbers were just casting numbers in most cases.

is it possibly a waukasha  ?           it is a turbo diesel 4cyl. has 216020 cast on the block by the injection pump

its down deep in that forklift icould not readthat tag or was able to get closeenought to the tag to clean it off  but it did have  number on the block  the valve cover , injectors , exauhst manifold look like the picture .   having no luck finding a d436t engine listed any where .    will those other numbers apply ? i can find those out monday

Those numbers are just casting numbers and I can't say they are totally specific to the D436T.

Sometimes they ask for water pump casting numbers if an engine used several different pumps, I don't know on this one.

Find a way to clean the engine tag if its there, a stick and a rag, something. Try reaching down and taking a picture of it, I've had luck doing that in some cases.
