Old gal says she's gonna buy a pair of new Lazy Boys. Not doing anything next weekend, guess she'll drag me to homemakers. Dang this old one is around 18 years old. Ya the material on the arms is worn smooth, ya there might be a spring a little loose under the seat, but dog gone it, I've spent a lotta hours in it, especially the last year. If I gets a new cumfy one she's really gonna bellyache at me. I won't wanna get out o the darn thing. I can hear her "how come you haven't got out ta that darn chair and fed those bees" or "I see some weeds growing in MY garden, how come you ain't pulled them yet"?? Sorta makes looking at these young gals a little easier to do. Homemakers ain't far from Menard's, I'll bet she'll find something that I need to do with stuff from there too. She said last night, "look up a train trip you would like to take". The one I found starts in Chicago, runs to SanFran, with lots o stops. Then you gets on a cruse ship with lots o stops and go thru the Panama Canal. Wind up in Florida. I been to Panama years ago. They got the best rum drinks there, made with stuff you can't get here and fresh fruit picked outta the jungle that morning. Only cost about $6500.00 each + air fare. I just got THE look. Guess I'll be gone by Myself on this one or picking a cheaper one. Oh well.

When you get them new rockers, take your old one out to the garage, or shop, or barn. I've had a rocker/swivler in the garage for 20+ years. Got it in just the right spot too ! One way I can see the World, turn 180 and 'they' don't know I'm there !!Big smile

While returning from doctors office, because having my gizzard removed, we stopped at a Lazy Boy place. I picked out a nice electric controlled one. I thought about a bit and decided that I was recovering nicely and could get along without it.
That was on a Friday. Early the fallowing Wednesday vary early in the morning I woke up and it hurt to breath. I rolled over and went back to sleep. A few hours later I woke up again, and it hurt worse. About that time my wife woke up, I told here my problem. She bailed out of bed and called for an ambulance.
I had pneumonia, which knocked me down much worse than having my gizzard removed. So I talked my into going back to the Lazy Boy store and getting me that recliner.
Now I can truly say that was the best part of being laid up for a few weeks.
Fact is I'm in it right now.

By far the BEST recliner I ever had is a Barcalounger.  It is a type of recliner made in the United States of America.  It is made for big & tall guys and is the most comfortable one that I ever sat in.  It lasted me for probably 30 years and one day is just disappeared.... It must have been too well broken in I guess.....  And they make a powered one now too.  I think I'm gonna go out shopping!

WE have the powered ones. I wouldn't do it again. Too slow to lay back or get up.Aggravating as hell! Hard to find a recliner that the headrest is correct on too. JMHO, Tracy

I have a big leather Barcalounger and it is comfy for sure. I think it was the second one I sat in when the wife took me shopping for furniture. I said I will take this one. She said don't you want to sit in a few more? Nope, found it.

We have 2 Lazy boys we have had for close to 30 years and the fabric we have wears like iron.  Still look good and surprising how long they have lasted.

I would do a little shopping before buying Lazy Boy items. I dont like the sofa's much. We have had them a year. I always thought they were top of the line. Not anymore.
We got the electric ones and they work better than the hand operated ones. But these sofas dont have head support, and arent long enough for my long legs. Construction is of inferior materials for what you have to pay for them too. Pressed board.
Regards,
 Chris

Everyone around here are buying catnapper recliners now. They will lay completely flat and quality appears to be equal or better than Lazy Boy

The one I have is the big and tall one. She has the regular 1. This one fits me well, head rest is in the right place. Mine lays almost flat where hers doesnt, but old gal likes it that way. Gotta get thru the weekend first and get my bees fed first.
