Motor tag needs to reference 433T correct? Front plate needs to be swapped correct? How bad of a winter project?

Basically they are both the same engine. Yes, the front plate would need to be switched to accommodate the hydraulic pump. Intake manifold might also need to be switched so you have an intake heater. Never did the swap, but probably just have to move some stuff from your old engine to the combine engine.

VictoryAllis, you know,,,, Norm Swinford's book spoke of AC's future outlook for the 6000 series tractor, possibly having a 649T 2900 dropped into it to create an AC 6095 ?? Book goes on to say that other brands (Fiat 80 series tractors in Europe were same as Hesston 80 series tractors in USA) did similar 6 cylinder hp ratings with success?? 1975-84 Fiat 980 used a 8065 5.2L 6 cyl 316 cu in diesel @ 98hp. 1975-80 Fiat 880 used a 8055 4.6L 4 cyl 278 cu in diesel @ 88 hp. Later 1980-84 Fiat 880 used a 4.6L 5 cylinder diesel @ 88 hp. 1975-84 Fiat 780 used a 8045 3.7L 4 cyl 224 cu in diesel @ 78 hp. 1975-84 Fiat 680 used a 8035? 3.5L 4 cyl 211 cu in diesel @ 68 hp. Kinda interesting that Fiat/Hesston used at least 5 different engine sizes to span a comparable hp range in-which 1980-85 AC's 6060,6070,& 6080 used just one 433 engine size. Of course the AC 433 utilized turbos and intercoolers & specific injection fuel settings. I think Fiat/Hesston's 80 series didn't offer turbos, interccollers?? So did your 6080 patient possibly develop a crankshaft thrust bearing issue in its 433I? And/Or other issues ?

I got 2 possible candidates one has crank issues but that’s from fuel in the oil the second is just tired. The tired one was known and the oil with fuel we knew it was making oil the the crank came later but no shock.
