I may have listed this before, but maybe a new face will see it now.
So I have an HD5G track loader that I bought thinking that a set of steering clutches would be all it needed to make it work. But I run into much more trouble then that in the left hand final drive. Water/rust really took its toll in there. Long story short, I haven't hardly laid a wrench on it now in probably close to 10 years, the "next year" that I keep putting it off to never arrives. The 2-71 Detroit in it did run good, has both injectors replaced in it. It did back into my shop under its own power, just couldn't steer it. The under carriage is not stellar, but would run for a long time for an occasional user of it. I have probably close to $3,000 worth of parts for it, all new steering clutch parts, (bi-metalic discs with the thinner spacers)all new clutch springs, new steering brakes, final drive bearings, throw out bearings, and such. I am pretty willing to go a lot of different directions with it. If someone just needs an engine, I'd sell that. If someone wants to shoot me an offer for everything and pick up where I left off, that would be great. If anyone has an entire good unit with a bad engine, I might be interested in it. I just need to move on from what I have now. Message me here if interested in something, we can exchange phone numbers and talk it out. Thanks, Darrel
