I have a 7040 with what I believe to be a 7060 motor because of the intercooler on it, never the less I had a Allis Chalmers fuel filter on it #74894407. I went to replace it with a new AGCO filter #74894407 same number length and drain on the bottom. Any ways the new filter the threads on the new filter are to big it just slides up over the threads. I dug through my filter cuboard and found another older filter same number and it threaded on fine. Up date to the story is the newer filters with the same number are to large to thread on to the nipple. If tried 3 different filters with one being crossed back to a wix with that number and even the wix is to big? Was there something different with the new AGCO numbers vers the old ones size wise? any other filter numbers out there people are running? Thank you
