getting by dad's d-15 running again. Points looked a little distorted so am replacing them and the condensor. Pretty straight forward, but I pulled the old points without looking real close how they were in. I know how they orient with the anchor screw and the adjustment screw for gap setting. Question is: This set of points has a slot in the end of the tensioner leaf spring that straddles the screw that connects to the condenser wire . Is the spring supposed to be separated and electrically neutral or does it matter?
