Topic: D 21/220 seat questionPosted: 21 Apr 2011 at 7:14am |

Looking at replacing a seat on my D 21 and also 220. Question is, some of the D 21's had a all white seat cushion with a white wrap around and back rest, but some had the black and white base. It also seams on the early ones (Series 1 tractors ) that they were more the black and white seats, then the all white on the series 2 and also 220's.
I want to make sure from the allis police that I put the correct seat on my 220 tractor first. It is a 1969 model to be exact. Looking at the all white top and bottom.
Thanks in advanced, Darryl

I have a '68 D 21 and put a white seat on it...I really like the looks, right or wrong.

the all white wrap around with small backrest is the optional super deluxe. I think it came out when the one ninety came out, but not sure.

This place has a very good quality seat. you have to get all 3 pieces seperatly
http://www.tractorseats.com/c-55-allis-chalmers.aspx they call it a "180" seat. you can get it in either all white or white and black. |

I agree with injpumpEd. Certainly correct for the Two-Twenty and would look the best also for the D-21.

the white wrap around would be right for your tractor like Ed says, my early, early 190 diesel has that seat. Also one of my D17 IVs has that seat, not right for the tractor, but nice to sit on!!!!

The all white three piece seat is the deluxe seat option. They are always all white. The standard seat was the same as a D-15/17/19. These early padded seats were black and white with the later ones being all black. The deluxe seat may have become standard on the later D-21's but I have seen D-21 series I's with the regular seat. |

I think K &M is who I bought from before. Are they one of the better suppliers, or is Steiners of the one in OAN good. (Speer Cushion co) Just looking for the best fit and price and who has been happy with whom.
Thanks in advanced, Darryl

Hey Darryl how you doing. I have bought from K&M and feel their cushions are very good quality. As others have said the 3 peice white would be correct for a 69 like the one that was on the narrow front 21 (those were K&M). My 72 220 had the 2 piece high backed black seat with small arm rests when new from the factory. Not sure when the switch was made. The first 21's had the 2 piece low backed black and white seat like my Industrial 21 as the standard seat. When all is said and done though put what ever looks and feels good to you on. The correct seat on my industrial will kill my back when I do all day tractor cruises. Doyle

I believe I have a 3 piece all white seat off our series II D21 that we made into a puller. Not sure if it is original or not but it is in great condition. I will track it down today. Call if your interested in buying.
