    Posted: 02 Jul 2017 at 9:21pm
I saw a starter put on a 20-35 that used a ford starter which has a long shaft and riged together with v belts down to the pulley. Does anyone have any pictures of this set up or a better idea. I am getting to old to crank this tractor either I am going this route of some type of a starter or I will be forced to sell it. Thanks Dave

I can't help you, but speaking of starters on old tractors, Gilbert Vust mounted a ring gear from a John Deere D on his Allis 10-18 (minus a tooth or two) and added a starter that way. Looked professional for sure to me!

I have seen a few older F series Farmall tractors that have a truck flex plate mounted up to the pto or belt pulley and have a mount made for a truck starter.

Problem is that I take it to a show and the last two times I get it started at the show a lot of times just to show it off. When I get home and try to start it on the trailer then I have a hard time to get it started. That is why I want to put some type of a starter on it. Thanks Dave

Only in my dreams.  You don't dream about girls when your married to the best.

Yes I been thinking of rigging a starter for My E for a long time.  Even a jack shaft with belt pulley off the back of my 716 V belted to the bevel box.  But I see your point in starting it on the trailer.
The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend?
