Iv got a buddy that found a satoh tractor. Idk the model number but it looks kinda like a small david brown. Anyway it's just 200 bucks and was just wondering if there any good and how hard it is to find parts for them. Thanks for any input.

They made beaver, beaver 2 and 3 bison and elk. I think those were the order, with beaver being around 16, bison 20ish and elk about 32. Some were available as gas engines, too. You might try over at tractorbynet forum, they have a page, for them, I think...
I have a beaver 2, I think, good little tractor, 4wd that just won't quit!

It's a Mitsubishi. Check the tag for a number beginning with an S or an ST. If it starts with an S there will be three digits after. If it starts with an ST there will be four digits after. Sxxx or STxxxx would be the model number.
Maybe not enough info, but try: www.satohparts.com Edited by DougS - 09 Apr 2017 at 9:49pm |

I tried out a beaver (the Satoh beaver tractor, that is) one time 20+ years ago, and it was terribly under powered. I ended up buying a deutz 5215, and that is twice the tractor. Darrel

I have a S-650 (satoh NOT Mit.) and it has madza 60 cuin motor in it. The tell me the bison is rated at 25 hp, and mine runs a 3-point KK72" tiller in L-1with no problems.----I bought it just to get the 3-pt. off it, BUT with a little work I got it to run,----so the $100. I paid for it was a good deal.--- This will be starting on the 7'th year on the tiller and I till all these big gardens plus one for a friend.----YA --- I say the Bison is a good tractor!
P.S.--- all the fluids are standard old school US stuff!---The 3-point is standard us, so that really helps!! thanks; ac fleet |

My brother has an 550-G. It has the mazda gas engine in it. It has been a great tractor for him. 3 speed I think, with a high and low.
