Let me know how long the gauges keep working.
Chebbies ride nice, but electronics give trouble. All of them are plenty stout these days. Really nice looking ride! Hope it treats you right. |

Eldon; Nice truck and white is my color also. Do you need to get an annual inspection sticker in your state? Minnesota where I live is clamping down on anyone who uses a pickup for business. I was stopped this summer with my Ford 150 pulling a car hauler trailer and grilled as to what I was doing, where I was going etc until they were satisfied there was no financial gain involved. Mark

Hate to hear that kind of foolishness, last time I looked, where I'm going, and what I'm doing are none of your business, I guess I'd get in trouble. If they stopped me for that, I'd just sit there and look at them, refusing to answer.

Kind of a long story, but almost 2 years ago a local small town high school senior was stopped by sheriff deputy, and ended up dead. So Yes do just as Shameless says. Dusty

I don't need an inspection yet....I have been lucky so far with my work as they seem to not bother farmers much (and I usually am hauling farm equipment). I heard they are really dogging the landscapers and contractors who pull backhoes and trackhoes with pickups. |

Hauled the 175D and Bush Hog to a job up on a bench 25 miles away today...really impressed with the ease it climbed the grade and also how comfortable coming back down. The auto tranny and exhaust brake sure take the work out of hauling!

Looks awesome!
The LML with the exhaust brake coupled to the Allison is quite an engineering marvel, when it first came out they hooked a 18,xxx lb gooseneck to it and did a standing start on an on ramp at Dillon Colorado on I70, and when they crested the hill it was doing 60 mph. Turned around and came back down and never had to touch the brakes once thanks to the exhaust brake and the cruise grade braking. Mind you this is the up to 7 percent grade on the western slope, same one I was down to 2nd gear @ 22,000 lbs combo with the 6.5L 5spd. :) @Shameless, notice those Purty Mirrors on Eldons new pickup? Well good news, for folks like you and me with a mid 90s GM pickup with rather crappy small mirrors (if yours has the black plastic ones) they sell on the wonderful ebay mirrors with an identical mirror head, but with a custom base to fit the 88-98 pickups. I got one set coming for the 95 and am debating about a set for the 98. If you gots an ebay account, search "88-98 towing mirrors" and you should find them. be warned, they only plug and play on 99 and 00, gots to re-wire the mirror to plug in to power adjust on anything older.
