Under that umbrella, I think I see a devilish grin. I don't think my 80 year old dad could get on the back of my WD45.

my dad was about that age when he plowed a 15 acre field with his old wc & 2 bottom trip plow. it's amazing how straight the plow rows were' I wish I had taken pictures. no furrow to follow with the narrow frt. either.

Nice job! Thats some nice looking ground you have there. We have one field that size that'd have 4 load of rock to pick first, and thats just the big ones!
Looks like your dad is enjoying himself!

I always love your pictures Don. Are you going to cultivate with a narrow front this year? I got in such a hurry this year, I didn't make any pictures. We'll have to replant about 4 acres due to the floods wiping out the bottom. |

Thanks for the kind words guys. Dad has gone at it like that as long as I can remember. lol
That WD45 is aways the one that's in the mud it's the one in the mud, blood and the beer, The two WD45's I have don't get that muddy so maybe they know more than this old gal! LOL
I put a lot of "N" on this year we will see if that gets me the big yield (200+) I just do this for the fun of it. Dad is a big help with INFO on farming back in the 50's, He thinks this new way of donig it is wrong, You know that no till stuff!!!!!!!!
He said to make a good seed bed and the corn will grow!!!
Don

Nice to look back. I can remember using a 45 to plow and to disk. Always fun tractors to use with plenty of power for the time.
Thanks for sharing.

I now have all the corn in the ground, Had to mud the last 1/2 acres in but it's in and the rain is comming.
Mark I have No. 3 WD45 sitting in the barn with the cultivator with a WD side dresser on it just weighting for the grass to come up, And then it gets to come out and play.lol
It has a wide front on it.

Don, Can you do something about that pink umbrella? That Big IH on there just don't look right. LOL I have a 2 row cultivator (had it on the 45 once) but it don't have have the fertilizer junk added. It looks like you been planning ahead some. I hope the rain coming don't drown anything out down there.

OK Charley, I have retired the red think to back of the barn, My good buddy Rick(MO)
was felling sorry for me last year and let me get a new old stock one from him. lol
It will be on there before it gets a look at the corn field this year.
I can use a little rain now.

Nice cultivating rig. I guess when you get the cultivator on one of those WFE tractors, you don't really want to wrestle it back off over that axle. That's a sweet outfit.
