Neighbor has a WD45 factory power steering. Last week it suddenly lost all power steering assist to the right and about half the assist to the left. Has fluid, belt is tight, cant hear any change in pump sound when you try to turn it. Same at idle or wide open.  I think he has a problem in the unit?? Are parts available if I take it apart? Any common problems like his?
Thanks for any help.

I would say there is foreign mater in valve. A needle bearing comes apart some times and goes through alots of things.  MACK

O rings, gaskets, bearings, and seals I have purchased through Agco and bearing house. The gears in the pump would have to be made. Comes apart pretty easy and not to hard going together. The pump is the weakest link. could be the pressure relief is stuck open.

Good luck.
