I've found a 20' flex head close but it's off an R series combine.  I have and L2.  Has anyone on here converted one.  I know it's been done before.  I was just wondering what all had to be done.  I know the R style was off set, will it still be off set once converted?

thanks in advance

Derek

I went through that thought process not long ago.  After a lot of measuring and figuring, I finally gave up the idea.  The thing that I wasnt able to figure out how to overcome is the height.  The width can be dealt with fairly easily, the hook-ups, wiring, and plumbing can be adapted, but the height of the hole, (and most of the back of the header if I remember right) is something like 8" shorter on the Rs than on the LMs.  I figured if I went to the effort to make everything else fit, I would still probably have a mess with feeding.  I might be wrong, but if I were you, I would start thinking about how to overcome that first, because the rest seems pretty straightforward.  That being said, if you figure out how to do it, let me know!  I have a nice 324 flex head for an N/R that I bought to try to put on an L2!
