hi guys I really need some help i know its a stupid question but this tractor has been apart for a little over two years. I was wondering if someone could take some close up pictures of the right side of the tractor as your sitting on the seat there is an unknown hole right at the bottam of the block and I need to know what goes there I pretty sure its a line of some sort. I cant see from the pictures off the internet because the frame rail blocks the view. It would be greatly appreciated. |

Thats all I can think of, too Tim.
See that steel tube, draining back into the block?

you may be right gary but i think the dipstick is on the other side because the starter goes over that spot. is there some sort of plug that goes in there?

Combines had the dipstick at that location, there should be a drive in plug that goes in the hole. I dont know if you can get the plug from AGCO yet, may have to fab somthing.

Without going out and looking at my tractor, I'd say the block is made to have the dipstick on either side. If that's the case you need to plug the hole.

You have a combine block if it has a dipstick there. The tractor engine uses the left side dipstick. I got my 262 in the tractor before I realized i should have opened up the left side dipstick hole. It's not drilled on mine, and I did not want to pull the oil pan back off, so I did a little grinding on the starter and made do.
