My son and I are restoring our first tractor.  We have a 1941 AC model C.  The steering main tie rod arm has the rubber bushing in each end completely worn out.  As a result, there is also damage to the tapered post that squeezes into the attachment on the tractor.  I cannot locate a new replacement.   The originals I have found are worn out as well.   Can anyone tell me where I can purchase new tie rod ends of the same thickness so that I can fabricate my own new part?  I have tried the auto parts stores, and they have parts that are too thick and have grease fitting so the hit the side of the radiator shroud.   Thanks in advance for the help.

 If you ask for "Drag link" you will find the correct part faster. However I am aware of the regularity of finding this part for a model C totally worn out in any search for used parts and it's non-existent in replacement parts.  
If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
