my clutch has gone on my HD11E, where can i source a new one i have looked everywhere. |

how can i tell if a dry or a wet clutch ?

HD11E serial number 8321 should be a wet clutch- reservoir under rear of oil pan, spin-on filter on rear of clutch housing. Wet clutch came around 6400 serial number range, 1961 or so.

yes it has the spin on filter on the clutch housing in the rear underneath.
so it must be the wet clutch. would i just need to put new friction plates on or do i need a whole new clutch |

Before you removed the cluch make sure your oil tank is full and check if your cluch pump and oil filter are in good condition. |

Make sure your oil tank under rear pan is full and with the motor running you could disconnet a hose from oil filter you should see if the pump have a good pression or disconnect the hose from the small pump near the fuel pump
